Life Span: Up to 10 Years

Temperament: Waterslager Canaries are not particularly social and do not like to be handled. They are on the timid side and should not be housed together with parakeets, lovebirds, or other hookbills that tend to be more aggressive. Additionally, males can be territorial and should be kept separately. They like to bathe daily.

Breeding: The canaries are generally easy to breed

Diet: Canary Seed, Dried Egg Food, Mineral Grit, Millet, Fruits and Veggies, and Australian Blend Goldenfeast.

DNA Testing

If there is no gender option listed for a bird on our website, that particular species is ‘monomorphic’, which means we’re unable to determine gender without purchasing DNA testing.
